Diamante is an American singer / songwriter who my daughter liked since she was 3. She keeps asking to listen to “the blue haired girl” which in this case I don’t have a problem with. She has your typical catchy songs but with a rock sound. It’s not the same as everything else that’s getting put in front of kids these days so I’m all for it.

So far Diamante has released two full albums Coming in Hot released in 2018, and American Dream was released in 2021. Since then she has released a couple of covers (as most starting artists do) and has collaborated with a couple of other people as well, such as Bad Wolves (Hear Me Now) and Breaking Benjamin (Iris). But let just go over the 2 albums that she’s released so far (I’m not counting the diamond covers as it’s all covers).

Coming in Hot was our introduction to Diamante as my daughter loved Haunted, she even started to rock out to the music video when she saw the little clip on Spotify. She wanted to listen to her so much that she put my profile as Diamante’s top .5% of fans for that year, so I had to show her the thank you video at the end of the year (which she loved). Needless to say I’ve heard that album a couple of times and it’s not that bad, it’s consistent and has a couple of different styles of songs on the album so you can always find something to listen to if it’s hard hitting Haunted or Sound of Us to songs with more feelings like I’m Sorry and Sleepwalking.

Her second album American Dream, I’ve been encouraging my daughter to listed to a little bit saying “you know, she has another album as well”. I like the song Ghost Myself and the title song American Dream is not that bad either. She’s starting to get more comfortable with the pop rock genre now. Still has the songs that are full of feelings like Unlovable and I Love Myself for Hating You. I’m curious on what she’s going to write next, I’m hoping it’ll stay more rock or pop rock based and not lean towards the more Disney techno poppy sound that everybody else goes towards. She states that she has 80’s glamour, I just hope it’s more of the glam rock that she’s going for.
